Meditation
Regular meditation and a mindful approach to life can develop into a resource which helps regulate the nervous system. It can reduce anxiety and unconscious identification with the negative thinking, reactive emotions and behaviours which often automatically co-exist outside of awareness.
Meditation may increase overall clarity, focus, rest, stability and a sense of space and being “at home and not alone’. It encourages learning about, and befriending, the experience of self while remaining rooted in the present moment.
There are different forms of meditation, ranging from sitting still and observing the breath and sensations in the body, expressive cathartic meditations which help discharge, mobilize and transform energy, to dance meditations and body flow which increase the overall fluidity and creativity of self expression (to mention but a few).
Meditation is encouraged to support yourself during and after Rebalancing sessions and during your life in general should you wish to do so. This grounded reflective stance also forms the basis of the practice of Inquiry and any hands-on body work.
